Anyone would love to own a limited-edition device and I am equally curious to see how much this would cost! Seems like a laptop that has been specifically designed to make a statement.

That is way too luxurious for me, so I won't even bother with the price. I understand that such a special day is normally celebrated with a special release, though I also wish it's something more affordable to the general users.

I give them a pass. Asus is trying to mark a big anniversary and if they created something affordable it wouldn't be exclusive and special.

The problem with limited edition electronics is that they're bound to become obsolete and perhaps worthless in a short time period. Plus, if this is created with "genuine leather" like the article states, then you're getting the lowest quality... See more

Well, it would be expensive to use the highest quality of leather for as many devices, right? I agree that limited edition devices can become obsolete and at times, it becomes hard to perform regular updates on them.
