I recently had for a weekend trip to see my grandmother in another country. I didn't have a power bank with me, but I brought my phone charger. The problem I had was when I was in the airport because there were lots of people who were also charging their phones in the charging station.

I'm always afraid to use public charging stations due to malware concerns, so it's nice to know which power banks work best especially when there are so many to consider. Thanks!

Can you get malware from the public charging stations? I thought the drives we insert via the USB port, including external hard drives and power banks like these, have more chances of containing viruses. That's why the news doesn't excite me... See more

Charging stations cannot transfer malware, as far as I know, because they only transfer electrical power to our gadget and not data. It can be possible to get malware if there is a hidden device in the charging stations, but I doubt it.
