I am used to restarting both my smartphone and/or laptop anytime there is sluggish behavior and it is good to hear that it is sort of a standard practice. Most people I know literally avoid restarting their PCs, laptops or smartphones yet it is the best remedy for most technological problems.

I always found the opposite to be true. The first thing I do is restart my computer and it rarely fixes the problem. If we're talking about things lagging, then yes, restarting does work. For larger issues, it doesn't seem to do anything.

I agree with you and in most cases, it is best to try the simple tricks (such as restarting) so as to gauge whether or not the PC/laptop has bigger issues.
