Apple claims to protect their users' privacy which sets them apart from rival companies like Facebook and Google. However, a lawsuit was recently filed claiming that Apple sold their information, including the customers' record of past purchases and personal data. Yikes!

I guess Apple's motto of "what happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone" was just sales rhetoric. To be honest, I'm hoping the allegations aren't true as I'm a big iTunes user.

It's unfortunate, but should be expected. Your data isn't safe anywhere these days. Honestly, I'm even beginning to doubt those "private" search engines like DuckDuckGo are truly private. I'm waiting for their scandal to break any day now.
