This is an interesting article about a writer who stopped using the top five tech companies for a period of time. While it's an admirable endeavor, it's not something I'd want to do. What about you?

Every company probably harvests data, including those that are open source. I understand the writer's point in this experiment, but the writer is really just trading one problem for another.
