These startup companies must have done their research and realized that there are a number of people who prefer to own, than share. I find it to be very affordable, especially for anyone that uses the scooter frequently.

I heard my friend saying he's going to own one too. I'm not a big fan of scooters myself but if I am a frequent user, then certainly I will want to buy one too.

Electric scooters in general aren't for me, but I think renting makes sense because you won't be responsible for keeping it charged, at least that's what I've read about Byrd's rentals. I'm assuming users are in a hurry or they'd just walk. A... See more

If I was using it frequently, I would definitely purchase it. Constantly renting isn't cost effective, and at the end of the day, you own nothing.

It makes sense to buy rather than rent if you use a scooter frequently. In the long run, you will save a lot of money. On the other hand, renting makes if you don't ride the scooter frequently.

There is no way I'm ever going close to a scooter, be it electric or not because there is always the risk of someone falling. However, it makes sense to own one rather than keep renting as you could save a lot of money in the long run.
