I just can't imagine that Huawei can come up with a new operating system this fast, but I suppose they don't have many choices if they want to keep the fan base alive. Do you think Huawei will successfully pull this off?

Even before reading the article, I almost had a feeling that the 'Plan B' must have been occasioned by the recent attempt by Google, to block Huawei from using some of its apps. It will be interesting to see how this story develops!

I know quite a number of Huawei users and I think that the consumers are caught up in an ugly trade war between these two countries. Either way, it doesn't look good for Google to pull out in such a manner.

Google could use some competition with a fantastic Andriod fork that's self-sustaining or maybe Huawei will create a whole new smartphone ecosystem. Competition is good and this might be the thing to make it happen.
