It is no longer safe to browse the internet without taking the necessary precautions. #Onlinesecurity and #internetsafety cannot be taken for granted anymore. I had no idea that a VPN could do much more than just hide the IP address and/or geographical location but I'm more informed now.

I always use a VPN simply to thwart the companies that are tracking and compiling data. I find it annoying that I'm paying large fees for a speedy wireless connection while the company is happily selling my information.

I don't use a VPN very often, mostly just when I'm using a public Wi-Fi hotspot. In my experience, using a VPN significantly slows down my internet speeds. It's just not worth it to me.

You spoke my mind because, from experience, a VPN slows down internet speeds. I don't think there's as much we can do to prevent third-parties from accessing personal data. It always seems like selling personal data is a lucrative business.
