I thought this was interesting. Microsoft is marketing this product as easy to open. Is this something that is important to you? I am wondering what the added value is.

I guess this would be a useful feature for someone which the necessary technical capability. I prefer it when a laptop isn't easy to open. I don't even recall ever opening up any of my devices.

I have never bothered with opening a laptop, but I see how convenient this can be when it is necessary to remove the cover. I hope opening the case doesn't void a warranty?

I can see why they would do this. There are many people who are upset with the way the inner workings of electronics have been made near inaccessible, especially cell phones. Remember when you could easily take out your cell phone battery?

Back in the day, most cell phones batteries were removable, and it created a problem, especially for those people who kept removing them unnecessarily. The non-removable batteries are long-lasting, in my opinion.
