When is the last time you heard of a Toshiba laptop? The company now goes by the name Dynabook Americas. Lighter laptops are the trend now, and so the Tecra at just 19.9 mm and 1.47 kg, is impressive. The main downside is charging is done through a less universal 45 W AC adapter, instead of the USB Type-C port.

Battery life is something that most laptop manufacturers fail to give a priority, so 13 hours of this in the Tecra A40 sounds good. Again, it seems like lighter laptops are now a trend!

Thirteen hours sounds pretty amazing but I'm skeptical. Usually the advertised battery life of electronics doesn't pan out. The $900 price tag seems a bit too steep for what this laptop offers.

More often than not, companies use the 'long battery life' as a marketing technique. I doubt if a laptop can last for that long, when in use. There could be something that justifies the starting price of $900.

Yes, there are a lot of devices/laptops out here that cost less than $900 but offer more (better specifications and overall performance). Again, battery life isn't something that any manufacturer can quantify, considering that people use them... See more
