Flash drives are handy, portable devices, but they can be easily misplaced. I always have two of these at a go, and I avoid carrying them in my pocket. These small devices will stay around for a while.

That's me. I lose mine all the time. Because they're so small, they're easily misplaced and forgotten about. That's why I keep several of them around and back them up to another drive.

That would be the major downside of the flash drive, but with time, we all get used to them. Is there a way in which you can prevent someone from accessing the files therein in case it gets misplaced or stolen?

Like the article suggests, I tried using a flash drive on my old Windows 7 laptop to speed things up through Microsoft's ReadyBoost. Unfortunately, I didn't notice a difference.

I always have a flash drive or two alongside my keys. Do you find it risky to store personal files on them? Anyone could bump into confidential information in case a flash drive gets misplaced.

I haven't used flash drives in forever, with Cloud and all your data sharing platforms I feel like I don't really need it anymore. I use a large storage device for my backups but that's it.
