We got into a business deal with a certain friend but he couldn't do what he was required to do, on time. After a while, his phone would ring and go straight to voicemail. I had to use a friend to get him to play his part. It can be frustrating when people bar our calls but I am not sure if it is possible to turn off caller ID information on outgoing calls?

I'm sorry that happened to you and I hope your friend finally made good on his end of the deal! Nice article here. I'm glad that the recording doesn't inform the caller that they've been blocked like it used to do.

It's possible to hide our IDs when we call someone; my friends often do that. I didn't know that we can still get through even when the other side has blocked us. I thought the system would know who the caller is even though the user didn't.

@Jamiex Nice share! I've helped victims of domestic violence and I didn't realize that the abuser could determine that their number was blocked. That's good to know. @Sphera, thanks for the useful tip!

I'm not sure any of these are real indications that your number is blocked. I hope people take this information with a grain of salt.
