I've owned a similar model by MSI and my only complaint was that it ran very hot when I'd be gaming for a while.  That's a common issue with any gaming laptop, though.

Netflix should be worried.  Apple may not have a ton of content right now, but they're getting more and more each month.  Gifting free access for a year to those who buy certain Apple devices will help them build a fan base I think.

I've played around with a device running Samsung's mobile OS and I'm surprised it isn't more popular.  It has many of the same features  as a desktop model and it's intuitive to use.

Their downfall isn't their price, it's their size that will hold these things back.  Those are huge!  I've never seen earbuds that large.  I bet it would be hard to wear them with glasses.

It's interesting that HP managed to keep the laptop airy and light when the usual durable models are built like Fort Knox.  That's a huge accomplishment and if I was in charge of corporate buying, I'd definitely go for one of these.

I'm not sure I buy into that since Roku and Sonos aren't typically competing for the same demographic of people.  Part of the appeal of buying a Sonos speaker is that it feels more exclusive than its rivals.

Those evaporative coolers do a decent job with one caveat - you  can't live in a humid environment.  So it works with the dry heat you'd find in Texas, but it won't work with the humid heat you'd find in Georgia.

I get your point about modularity adding value, but you could buy two or three brand new systems for this price. That would also allow you to upgrade as things improved.  Just buy another one brand new.

I wouldn't buy one of these, but Walmart doesn't need to reinvent the wheel by creating a whole new digital ecosystem.  It's an Android tablet and I think it ships with Google Play which has tons of apps.
