It's cool that the device operates signage as well.  Good for Google.  Microsoft could use some competition in the workplace and in academia.  This could be just the push that's needed.

This is incredibly exciting.  Imagine needing medical supplies and being able to have them brought by a drone in a few hours.  It sure beats dealing with Instacart.

I'm all about PUBG at the moment.  That was a long article, but I appreciate the author's attempt to explain the issue in plain language.
Phoenix
I think the article drips with disdain.  The Pixel Buds are basically just like AirPods which is strange.  I figured Google would add something to set itself apart from other tech companies.

Samsung is already working on a fix, although it is taking them a long time to produce it.  I'm sure Google will create a fix as well.  They don't ship until October 24th so it might not affect many people before the fix is ready.

I'd go for the 13-inch Microsoft Surface mostly because it's compatible with my job and it's $100 cheaper than the MacBook Air.  I wish it included a Thunderbolt 3 port though.
Phoenix - Edited
The lack of a Thunderbolt 3 port is a big miss, especially for a laptop at this price.  I'd expect it from a budget laptop though.  Still, I'd buy the smaller Surface as I like the pen and keyboard better.
VeryPunny
I find it odd that every single phone manufacturer is so focused on the camera.  Still, I think Google did a better job than Apple at producing something different.
Phoenix
It's the selfie generation, so of course the camera and video capabilities matter a great deal and will be the focus of improvement.  People like to imagine that they're moments away from becoming a big Instagram or YouTube star.
Phoenix
It really does sound a lot like the Lenovo Yoga 2-in-1 and I see you thought about that too.  It will be a cool gadget once it materializes, I just hope it actually gets there.

I'm glad you shared this article because I wasn't aware that so many of my gadgets could be useful for Halloween.  You'd better believe I'll have that Adams Family chime going before Halloween night.

I'm waiting for Alien Isolation to make it to Switch.  It's supposed to come out in 2019 so any day now...unless it gets delayed.

Oh my goodness, look at the size of those things. Maybe it's just a bad angle? Who has ears large enough to comfortably wear those? .
Phoenix
I think the part that sticks inside your ear comes in three different sizes so you can customize your fit.  It's the surface area of the outside that's so huge.  I guess it has to be that way since that's the swippable surface.
Phoenix
I'm glad you're writing more often, Eileen.  I enjoy reading your articles.  I'll be interested to see whether the Mi Mix Alpha performs better than the Galaxy Fold.  Even if the average user (like me) is never going to buy one, I think there's... See more

Just the other day, Huawei was in the news for all the wrong reasons, and everyone assumed that the smartphone company was going down. Do you think the non-Android software is going to be equally impressive?
Phoenix
Not a chance!  And it's not because the software is truly awful, but because Huawei couldn't use Google Apps and users are already so entangled with Google that it's bound to hurt Huawei.
Phoenix
I'm a little surprised that these earbuds aren't more affordable.  Isn't this company known for selling great tech at a much lower price than the competition?
Phoenix
Forget the computers, I like the little Pac-Man ghost.  It's a cool feature that you can mark each individual thing for folks to buy online.  Makes it easier and quicker to find.
Phoenix
I've been checking some of the photos on Instagram that were shot with the latest iPhone and they truly do look amazing.  It's like getting a two-in-one device really.

I like that update personally, though I don't think it's enough to make me buy a new one.  I wonder if the always-on design will drain the battery more quickly.
Phoenix
I like the always-on design as well, but I wish Apple had added more to it.  This new watch looks more like a firmware update than anything else.
Phoenix
My parents have the Google Home smart speaker and I'm not a fan.  In order to get it to work, you must say the proper phrase and it's very precise.  The AI technology is worlds apart. Google Assistant isn't as intuitive as Amazon Alexa.
Phoenix
I think that's to be expected with Beta jobs.  You are the experimental guinea pig trying out the latest and greatest software that might be fantastic or might break your phone.  I'd never do it, but I'm interested to see where this leads.
Phoenix
It's a little odd to see Sonos and Ikea working together.  I think of Sonos as a fancier brand, whereas Ikea generally markets towards the budget conscious.  It's an interesting pairing. The lamp is tasteful and simple.  I'd buy one.
Phoenix
I never thought of it that way.  That doesn't get any of them off the hook for paying low wages in sweatshops overseas or for making their products end prematurely so we have to buy a newer model, but I suppose they are doing good too.

I can see how the scale would be beneficial to some, especially for those who have a health condition.  It's particularly useful to households with four people since you can set up four profiles.  That way you're getting the most for your buck. ... See more

It makes sense to bite the bullet and pre-order now.  Once these come out, you'd better believe they'll sell out quickly and then you're stuck bidding on eBay for enormous prices if you badly want one.

I don't like the facial features due to security reasons, but I have to admit that they're pretty cool.  It's amazing how far technology has come and continues to advance.
Phoenix
I have one and I liked it a lot at first, but now I hardly use it.  Sometimes wearing the device felt like being tied down because I was always checking my stats.  It's a cool piece of tech; I just got too obsessive.
Phoenix
Those Livescribe pens are amazing!  I own one and it's great for understanding my handwriting and digitizing it.  It makes it much easier to find what I need for later meetings.
Phoenix
I'm surprised more tech creators aren't doing something like this.  Maybe they're afraid of drawing attention to global warming since the tech sector plays a big part in making it worse.
DevonJMarsh
I think that will matter a lot to a good many gamers.  I know some critics are upset because  the latest version can't be played on a television too, but I think it will sell like hotcakes.
Phoenix
Yeah, I'm planning to get one because it's smaller and the battery lasts for a good while.  Both versions of the Switch have a lot to offer.
Phoenix
I'm glad Huawei is being strategic about it.  I think if anyone can produce a folding phone without issues it will be Huawei.  That company hustles!

The article tickled me.  The reviewer verbally tore the tablet apart and disliked most of his experience with the device, right before declaring it kinda good.  As a reader, that was quite a ride.

I'm patiently awaiting CNET's test results before buying these two.  I have a much older model and need to get a newer one,  but I want to make sure the mop and vacuum here works just as well as they claim.  Otherwise, I'll buy a Roomba 980.

Call me shocked!  Didn't Samsung learn from Apple's debacle that your smartphone's battery life had better be on point?  People use their phones 24-7 now it seems.  Nobody wants to have to charge their phone midday.

I like the thinner, sleeker look and I'm sure the keyboard is a pleasure to use, but I think the Razer Blade 15 is the better buy between these two.
Phoenix
Eh, I guess it just depends on what you like.  I prefer to play on a bigger screen when it's available so the 17 suits me better and this one comes with the most powerful GPU that's up for grabs right now.

That is way too luxurious for me, so I won't even bother with the price. I understand that such a special day is normally celebrated with a special release, though I also wish it's something more affordable to the general users.
