Anyone who needs a system that can handle a high demand would do well with this memory kit - movie editors, software testers, heavy gamers, and music producers.  It's perfect for content creators and gamers, assuming the optimal graphics card... See more

Both the mouse and the keyboard look well-done and you can't do much  better than the battery life offered by these.  Logitech knows how to create peripherals that make work and travel easier.

I appreciate the writer's humor in that opening line.  I disagree about the need to defrag.  I think most modern computers take care of their own defragging so that's not something we need to worry about.
codechaser
I agree that bit was weird.  Then again, maybe they're thinking about computers running XP since the defragger on that OS wasn't great.  However, no one should be using Windows XP anyway.

There are massive deals going on right now for the Surface 2 and the Surface Pro 6 if anyone is interested.  Personally, I'm waiting for the Surface Neo to come out.

The article made a huge point - what worries business owners is that the web applications require an internet connection.  Few would risk the possibility of crippling their day-to-day operations with something like that.
codechaser
I would pony up for the upgrades like the extra RAM and key special keyboard.  It's still a good deal for what I'd be getting.

It doesn't look good when founding members start dropping like flies.  And the world has become pretty cynical about cryptocurrency anyway.  Maybe that's enough to kill the project off.
codechaser
I get the article's point.  Sometimes too much variety and choice leads to indecision and by putting out just a few devices, Google can focus on the big things that people need and want.  I don't buy Google's sustainability argument though.
codechaser
It's an interesting concept.  Big improvements will come out in the second iteration, they always do, so I wouldn't snag these yet.  Being an early adopter rarely pays off.

Yes, and I thought it was brilliant.  The sound quality on both Google's and Amazon's smart speakers is pretty equal in my opinion.  However, there's no denying that Alexa is smarter than Google Assistant.  That's because more people own Alexa... See more

The specs aren't bad for this price point. It's cool that they've used some plastics out of the ocean in this device.   I know it's really greenwashing, but I'll take what I can get.

I'm sorry to hear about the  demise of your beloved coffee maker.  I have the Illy coffee machine, but I hardly ever use it because one cup is never enough.  It seems bad for the environment so I cringe when I do use it.

I think Google's method of blocking spam calls is much better.  I was surprised by the release of Apple Arcade.  It seems like Apple was rushing into the fray without having enough exclusive games lined up.
codechaser
I 100% agree with all of this!  I'm also surprised that Apple didn't make their latest iPhone compatible with the Apple Pencil, especially with their recent emphasis on services. The company missed a big opportunity there.
codechaser
I'm glad that refurbs are included in the freebie offer!  I'm in for the new iPhone Pro 11 because of its chip and camera, but refurbs are usually what I go after when buying tech.

That hat probably isn't that comfortable, right?  Though, I'll jump on the "it looks cool" bus.  The wooden speaker is a nice addition as well.

Oculus headsets are probably the best you can get for regular gaming.  The headsets designed for businesses are spectacular, but they're also super pricey and beyond what most would want to pay.
codechaser
The price hike wasn't tremendous, but Netflix has to rethink things now that it has a lot of competition.  It will be interesting to see how they respond in the long run.

It really is odd that robots didn't take off like most folks thought.  I guess they were just too expensive for what wound up being a toy rather than a tool.

I don't miss my dorm room days at all.  I used to get in trouble for playing my music too loud.  You might want to add some headphones/earplugs to your  list.
SilverSoul
It has caught my attention indeed. The price isn't actually that expensive in my opinion. But since the one I own is also not bad for communication, I might not consider buying this now.
codechaser
I agree, especially when compared to other gaming headsets.  Razer's latest headset came under that amount, but there were trade-offs there too.

I figured this would get worked out because at the end of the day, it's all about money and power.  If Huawei is smart, and they are, they'll be creating their own independent OS behind the scenes just in case.

There are so many converters out there that it doesn't matter as muc.  It's more of an annoyance than anything else, but I can understand why it bugs some people.

Those look a little big, but it's a top-notch brand.  I've never had a problem with cords tangling since it  just takes a second to wrap them up.  Both have their place though.  I prefer wireless earbuds for running and wired headphones for... See more

It was announced in 2016, and after not hearing anything about it in years, I figured the project was dropped.  It's powered by AMD's Ryzen chip and it's a touchscreen device with outstanding graphics.  Is that enough to justify the price?

Does anyone else find it a little odd that the components are largely the same as what you'd find in the AirPods and Galaxy Buds, but the Powerbeats Pro supposedly sounds better?
codechaser
It looks like the Powerbeats Pro uses the same sound driver that the AirPods use and the same battery that the Galaxy Buds use.  It's a little odd though, since Samsung is a big rival.  The ear pieces and other parts aren't the same though,... See more

I wouldn't buy one, I'm more into Linux and Windows, but the modularity is what makes this expensive machine worth it and the specialized graphics card, Apple Afterburner, is top-notch.
codechaser
Well, if a person doesn't want to pay those prices, they should buy a knockoff band or just vacuum and mop their own floors.  It's not that hard.

Dual-monitors would make coding on the go a heck of a lot easier too.  I've seen laptops with dual-monitors on Kickstarter but none looked elegant and I'm not sure whether they were completed and shipped.

It's an investment for sure, but just know that their equipment lasts for ages and offers impressive sound made with quality materials.  I DJ on the side and this brand is worth the price it commands.

I am highly looking forward to this release!  I'm not sure how I feel about cloud gaming though, since I prefer to play offline sometimes.

I'm glad to see they've done something about the dragging that caused some of us gamers to feel motion sickness.  The touch controllers appear to have improved too.
